For personally auspicious days and for exact timings of the wedding one should consult with one’s Pandita.

Please note that it is never recommended to marry on a Saturday but because this is so prevalent these days in the West, we give here the most auspicious Saturdays as well – but strongly recommend against the practice.

Of the 3 days of the weekend the best for marriage is a Friday, 2nd best is Sunday and 3rd best is Saturday.

Pitri Paksha (Mahalaya Paksha) 24th Sept 2010 - 8th October 2010 is a period forbidden for marriage.
